It is always interesting to see South American issued replica Tag Heuer ww2115.fc6217 watch from the 1960s and 70s (see this 1965 Rolex Daytona given to the Peruvian Air Force) because it was such a turbulent time for the region. In 1960, Chile was hit by the biggest earthquake ever recorded (a 9.5), it fell under the control of a Marxist in 1970, became a center for Soviet operations in Central America by accepting a few packages, and saw a coup d’état or two.All this leads us to wonder just what this watch has seen.Click here for the details of a Rolex Submariner that was once property of the Chilean Navy during the country's formative years. Anyone a fan of Tony Gwynn or the San Diego Padres? To wear a watch like this, you're going to have to be.This watch is, of course, a replica Tag Heuer wjf1312.ba0573 watch Day-Date (aka President) given to Mr.Tony Gwynn in 1996 by the San Diego Padres organization. The watch is in really excellent condition, and our guess is you're not going to find too many Rolex Presidents with an enormous PADRES logo on the dial too often. Also, in case you forget who owned this watch originally, the caseback is deeply engraved with "TONY GWYNN 1996".
It was fun and tiring at the same time. Unfortunately for me, Adam Craig was both out-climbing and descending me. I guess that was self inflicted with my laid A Lange & Sohne replica watches back attitude leading into the event, which meant everything was left to the last minute. I was pretty tired after a 16 hour day on Friday before the XC start. Somehow I managed to hold onto to Adam up the climb, but I had to concede 10 to 15 seconds initially on the downhill, just to let his dust settle, so I could see where I was going.
